What does ECO near speedometer mean?

It means economy. Depending on the model, it cuts down on total cylinders running at cruise and lessens HP to save fuel mileage

in your Kia it probably shifts up quicker and holds a bit before downshifting for better fuel economy, a gimmick at best..
