Asked by Nov 28, 2016 at 02:55 PM about the 1989 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Cheyenne RWD

89 4.3 Chevy 1500. New battery alternator gauge shows
9.8-10.2 until it kills the battery. Also all lights quit working
and  diagnostic check says no signal from temperature
sending unit. Any help would be grateful hope everybody
had a happy thanks giving.

9.8 volts tells me the alternator is not doing it's job.
