what years of 460e can I swap into my 93 k1500 ? Will 96-99 work for me

No, 1993 is OBD I, 1996 and newer is OBD II. They're completely different computer control systems and are not compatible with each other at all. A 95 model should be avoided because it could be either OBD I or OBD II. So the newest you can go is a 94 model. But the tag on the transmission must match the one you have, exactly! Hope that helps!
