Taillights, turn signals

Asked by Jul 15, 2017 at 12:24 PM about the 1995 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Silverado Extended Cab LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 95 Chevy Silverado 1500, my rear taillights don't
work and if I turn on the right turn signal the hazards
come on and if I turn on the left signal the front signal only
works I replaced all the bulbs and replaced the turn signal
switch and it still acts the same. I cleaned the ground for
the taillights and i found on the left side there are 2
connectors one for the taillights and it looks like the other
one is for a trailer hook up but they are both are next to
each other and i don't think that it's supposed to be that
way I also found under the truck where the actual trailer
hookup wires are and the connector is cut off and they are
taped up I think someone tried to wire up a trailer and did
it wrong I'm out of ideas on what to do
