swapping 1999 4l60e into a 1996 silverado

Asked by GuruYY97F Feb 24, 2018 at 01:50 PM about the 1996 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Silverado Extended Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought a 1999 4l60e with split bell housing and
would like to put it in a 1996 silverado that has the
non-political bell housing. The 99 transmission is
approximately 2 inches shorter from transfer
mount holes to bellhousing.
