Gag gauge

Asked by Mar 10, 2017 at 07:38 PM about the 1996 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Cheyenne LB 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just replaced the fuel pump in my 96
Chevrolet 1500 my gas gauge isn't
working rite... Can anyone help me please.. It
jumps to full then when I cut it off it goes to
half a tank

Since you messed with the fuel pump, I suspect a problem with the sending unit, which means dropping the tank again to get at it, or take the box off, or cut a hole in the floor in the bed over the gas tank.
