Why is my car starting up but not moving in drive?

It will start up but as I rev the gas it doesnt
budge in drive or nuetral...it reverses but it
will not drive and when it does move it
doesnt go above 10mph...I dont know what
the problem is please someone help me I
dont wanna give up on my truck.
240k miles on it no engine light on...it
started yesterday after I put it in park to go
into the house. the car was warm cus I had
the heat on, It is winter where I reside.

First thing I would check is the transmission fluid level and look for leaks. A low level will give you similar symptoms to what you are describing. Also check the linkage. But if the fluid level is fine, you might be looking at some trans work.

Could also be one or more of your brakes hung up. Check to see that ebrake is fully released.
