steering wheel started jurking from rigth to left just driving down road

tie rods? Personally I wouldn't change the rack unless it was the last option, as that is a very expensive replacement. Tie rods are easy and cheap. A power steering pump isn't going to cause left/right jerking, so don't waste your money on that either. I would change inner/outer tie rods, check sway links, check bushings on sway bar (and frame mounts), then get an alignment.
