Van died while driving

Asked by Jan 05, 2017 at 12:22 AM about the 1989 Chevrolet Chevy Van G20 RWD

Possible reasons my 89 Chevy G20 van
died one block from my house . It would
crank over , but not start . After about 20
mins of trying to start it while waiting for
tow , it starts . Drove it back home ok .

It'll probably do it again. The ignition module is going bad

Yep, I'd replace both the module and the distributor pickup coil as a set, so then at least you know that both common fail parts have been replaced.
