how to report a scam

Asked by Dec 10, 2015 at 01:32 AM about the 2001 INFINITI QX4 4 Dr STD SUV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Mike's Quality Auto Sales & Service ...1620 S Dixie Hwy, Hollywood, FL 33020
is a scam ... They lied on their cars condition and the 30 days warranty is
false.On November 30, 2015, I purchased a 2001 Infinity Qx4 at Mike Quality
Auto Service, it was as is but with a 30 warranty, the same day after took the
car home I called seller, told them the car has transmission and ignition
problems, when car is cool down, it takes 5 to 10 minutes to move on Drive and
makes a loud cranking noise when started.
These problems was not noticeable at the time of purchase because they let
the engine running while doing the paperwork (for about half hour). Next day
12/01/15 I took the car back to seller to fix the problems. They checked it and
said no problems found. On Dec 5, 2015 I took the car to a repair shop,
according to the diagnosis it will cost me more than 2700 dollars to fix the
issues. On 12/08/15, I took the car back to seller again to fix transmission and
ignition. They said they know the car has transmission problem but I must pay
them to fix it despite car still under the 30 days warranty.
They refused to give me a refund or get a different car.

Well, to answer your headline question, You just did. Make it public anyway. You got screwed, to state the obvious. Man..... that sucks. Ok, report to the BBB in your area. If "Mike's Quality Auto Sales & Service" has a Facebook page, plaster this on it. The only problem I see is you state: "It was as is but with a 30 day warranty." End quote. It has to be one or the other. Do you have a 30 day warranty documented? If not you may SOL.

Maybe this will help next time.....Get any warranty that is promised in writing. If they refuse to give it to you in writing and give you some lame excuse, then walk away.
