I agree with Papa. The only issue that I have heard of is the A/C, the "dry heat exchanger" is a pricy unit (about $1200 (here in Canada) and is a pain in the butt. Other than that if you decide on the car, give it a good look over (take it to a mech') and if it is all good, enjoy the ride.

If it's any help tell ur parents I still rely on my 1993 Tempo gl with 160,000miles and it has yet to let me down. Look at cars oil that's a good look at how its been cared for if the jerk didn't just change it to throw you off. I look at the rest of the car if all is kept up good It should last if you do not drive it in the ground and do maintenance on a regular basis

Tell you parent that it seems alot but go do so Me reserch when I bought my infinity g35 it had 80,000 on it and the dealer want alittle over 18,000 told him to he's nuts but once I did some resuch about infinity and they r in good shape i bet u go over 200,000 before u have to put some work into mine has been the best car I ever owned hands down and u and your parents will see that when u get it just be careful it easy to get moving in these cars

i have a g35 bought at 70,000 has 205,000 miles no problems runs great still
