Is the Dealership trying to scam me?
My radiator blew to my g35 coupe, 2005. I purchased a new radiator
assembly from the dealership and then they called me back a week later
saying I need to buy two motor assembly because the fan was only running at
one speed. Shouldn't the new radiator assembly come with new motors for
the fans? Is the dealership trying to scam me for more money?
Radiators are just one part of the cooling system and are sold separately. If you need to purchase a motor assembly, that would be separate as well, no Scamming.
I work for an upscale car dealership here in town, the g35 has two fans that run high and low speed, new radiator and fans make sense and they are making sure that anything that will make a return trip for free not happen, or overheat and leave you and the family somewhere at who ever's mercy. So no you are not being hustled
2005 at its age its out of warranty optmlgalvatron is having to fork out the extra money for those fans as well as the radiator cost and cost of labor and shop time. Ask them for the old parts, you can take the radiator and scrape it for some money.
