1968 firebird headlights flashing
After headlights have been on for 10 or 15 minutes
they will start to shutter on and off rapidly. It
doesn't matter if it's been running or not just after
15 minutes or so they start flashing. Replaced the
headlight switch and dimmer switch. Need help!!! I
wonder if there is a really getting hot or something
Most likely that's the case, there is a circuit breaker inside the headlight switch, so I'm thinking that you have either bad headlight grounds or some wiring corrosion going on. Time to dig out he wire brush, sand paper and the ohm meters.
I see the design of the headlight switch now and see that it's not relayed further than the switch. I'd definitely agree on thoroughly checking your ground points.
I should add that this is a complete resto mod. Brand new painless wiring harness. Absolutely zero rust
Well something is causing the circuit overheat, I'm still going with a grounding problem.
Could be a dirty contact point the harness used as a connection on the body causing the bad ground.
All grounds and contacts thoroughly checked. I know it is a circuit problem but where could it possibly be?
