New 2016 Dodge Durango went limp

I left the dealership with a brand new
Durango. With my 2 kids in the backseat,
and at 28 total miles ever, the stability
traction light and engine light went on. I
was on the highway in heavy traffic; I was
lucky because now the vehicle wouldn't
exceed about 35 mph. I got off the exit and
crawled to a Jeep/Dodge dealership,
where they have it overnight now. Q: Is this
a major defect? Do I need to give it back?

Probably a sensor or wiring issue that will be taken care of. That's what warranties are for, and some new vehicles have things go wrong like this, just have to work out the bugs. If you have the truck in the garage for the same issue at least three different times and it is still not fixed, you can contact a lawyer using the Lemon Law.

I would imagine this has not been a happy experience for you. Be patient with the dealer, I am sure they will get it resolved.
