I have a 2000 Ford Mustang, and have noticed that the oil gauge goes up and down? What is the deal?

Maybe just the oil pressure sending unit is faulty, a bad wire or the guage. But if it's shows the engine has oil pressure, no matter if it moves around, you are fine.
