Should the 4.6 lit. motor and or any other part of mustang,make load popping or,cracking type sounds,when it is cooling off,after driving it,while it is sitting in the driveway?

Dose anyone else have this problem, and if so,what the heck is it that is making this noise?

You might have some ticking and tinging, aka cooling down of the exhaust, basic expansion and contraction, but not loud popping and cracking noises. Not sure what you have going on there Mike.

Popping and tinging is normal, expansion and contraction of metal is normal. If its cracking....that aint normal.
