My 2000 ford mustang is making a ticking noise. It sounds like its coming from inside the engine, but im not really sure. Any ideas on what the problem may be

Lifter tap, more than likely, worn valve,s or bad gas can cause this.

@T_S_T i think it may have been the bad gas, because i usualy put plus gas in it, but i recently put some regular so that may be the case, but if it happen to be either of the other two how much are we talking for repairs

If it keep,s tapping, you will need to rebuild the head,s,would run about 1200 dollar,s,parts, and labor, but maybe we are right and it will be bad gas,run some gas treatment in it,but if the tap stay,s,may need to get it repaired, soon.
