Will a 1996 Cobra Motor bolt right into a 2000 3.8 with everything working.Trying to put together a sleeper
It won't bolt right in, suspension will need upgraded, electronics will have to be switched out, the transmission if it is an automatic won't work, cooling system, some mounts will have to be moved, etc etc etc
K-member for V8 is required as well. Probably have to change out differential as v6 probably has a 7.5" and the V8 would need an 8.8". But the answer is yes, with all the right parts and a lot of work, it will bolt in. No welding or fabrication required. If you have the complete 1996 car, everything will swap over. My son had a 1994 GT, now has a 2003 Mach 1. other than body panels, everything is essentially the same. Spent a lot of hours working on both! ;)
