I am trying to figure out what's wrong with my ignition for my Mustang. I found out that there's nothing wrong with the lock cylinder. what else could it be? it's stuck in the ON position won't turnof
Removing the steering column and taking it to the bench is how we approached these at the dealer. Then you can see what's what and have easy access. They went to a modular design, it was made safer and lighter but it is also fragile and has steering related fasteners that require more care and thought by the tech. It drops and disconnects easy. Note locations before disassy and dont get upside down. You shold be able to get in there easier this method. Then see if your actuator or switch, or linkage or what did what. Even though it's modular, Ford has all the cute little pieces available.
