On a 1985 Chrysler fifth avenue. Is a electronic control unit the same as a electronic fuel control?

I'm trying to locate a electronic fuel control for a 2 barrel
carburetor on a 1985 fifth avenue. All I'm coming up with
is an electronic control unit. Is that the same thing or
what? The

You probably just swap out the stock carb for an after market one that does not need electronics. You might not pass smog in your state if you have inspections but the car will run a lot better.

The Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is a very early term for the ECM (Electronic Control Module), which we now call the PCM (Powertrain Control Module). I doubt it's what you're looking for. Perhaps A1 Cardone in Philadelphia, PA can rebuild your original unit. HTH. -Jim

It's not. Just did some quick research on this. What you want is the electronic feedback carburetor computer. HTH. -Jim
