i have a 2000 ford focus 2.0l sohc im only getting 96miles to the first half of my tank
You will have to run a couple of tanks of fuel to get the average MPG, try to use the same gas station during the test so the fill ups will be fairly even on the kick off at the pump. Be sure to document the miles and gallons consumed very carefully if you want an accurate reading.
Do you know what the average miles per tank should be??? Because I'm taking it to the shop tomorrow ... Just want to make sure that I should be getting more then 200 miles to a full tank before I take it to the shop
EPA says 25 city 32 hwy. But consumers are reporting 19.1 city is the lowest and 28.7 hwy is the highest. So the book says that the tank size 13.2 gallons, so city driving at half a tank should be roughly 126 miles at 19.1 MPG. so roughly 252 per tank. HTH.
Thanks man!!!! It's nice to see theres people still out there that are willing to help others out... Thanks again
