can I have 2 fobs with only 1 key for my ford focus

Asked by Aug 07, 2014 at 09:52 PM about the 2000 Ford Focus ZX3

Question type: General

I have one ignition key and a fob that works, but I would like to get a second fob for that
same key. can you have two fobs active with only one key?

I don't see why not. Program the 2 fobs and be done with it. Procedure is in your owners manual or online. But I would recommend getting a second key in case you loose your other one. You then will have to have a dealer program a new one for you if you do.
