2002 hyundai sonata loses power but doesnt die out
I have a 2002 hyundai sonata. It losespower going
up a small hill and when i go over 40mph it slows
down hard too. The check engine light is on. Just
found out when changing my spark plugs that oil
has gotten into it. Dont really know what to do.
The car doesnt die on me but when in drive mode
the rpm needle goes crazy. Please help.
It sounds like the oil is leaking from the valve cover gasket or spark plug seal into the cavity where the spark plug sits. If oil gets on or touches the electronic part of the spark plug it can cause it to either not fire at all or have a low power issue. Does the vehicle smoke at all or need oil to be added in between each oil change to maintain a full level?
Needs oil alot. Vehicle doesnt smoke out but it smells like exhaust everytime i drive it. Im currently changing the valve cover gasket and the spark plug seals. But if this doesnt work either what could it be?
