My 2000 explorer clicks onces too , I had my battery tested and they said it was bad, I bought a new battery on the spot and installed it ,same thing ,one click, selinoid? starter? If ground is good ?

Should I assume the selenoid is no good or the starter is no good if I check and see the ground connection is ok?

replaced starter ...works fine now
