Car Chokes around 5000 rpms
I have a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon V6 manual 5 speed. When driving it and the car gets up around 5000 rpms It starts to choke. It feel like its not getting any power and just kind stops. The car doesn't shut done but there's no more power behide the pedal. It makes a awful kind of noise. Have any ideas what it okay be?
When was the last time you changed the spark plugs, spark plug wires, air filter and fuel filter?
I just brought that car so I honestly don't know
I would encourage you to get a tune up and have your fuel filter changed. If you bring it to a traditional mechanic for service, have them inspect the clutch for wear as well.
Tiburon's are infamous for abs speed sensors going out, especially in the RF wheel. This is almost always the issue, not what was described above. Pretty easy fix and will also correct the ABS and cruise control too.
