Hi All, I have a 2004 Hyundai Sonata 2.7 6 cyl with about 160K. I bought it used and all has been fine till yesterday. While driving home the throttle suddenly started to surge wildly. While holding the pedal down 1/2 way it will rev to 4-5K for a few seconds then drop all the way down to nearly 0 for a few seconds then repeat this sequence. I checked the code and had a TPS error No CEL, Replaced from Autozone, but still is doing this.I cannot drive past 30- 35 mph. CAN anyone HELP Me

Is the transmission shifting normally?

Yes, i thought maybe it was that, so i put it in park, held down the throttle and it did the same thing with no engine load

TPS sensor or the wiring in the connector to the TPS sensor. (throttle position sensor.)
