Why does my battery keep draining

Asked by Monique Apr 10, 2018 at 03:10 PM about the 2004 Hyundai Elantra GLS Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My dash lights flicker, my car has no power to move. This is the 3rd time this
has happened. I have replaced the alternator twice and the battery 3 times in
the last 2 years. I have also replaced both my upper and lower o2 sensors. My
check engine light is on now again also. What else can it be, please help!
Thank You!

Have the check engine code scanned to see what it says and post it here to see we can help you.

Will do that now, thank you. Also wondering if it could be the computer in my car. It was changed 2 years ago, but was used. Wondering if it may have a short.

Well, possible, but let's take the easiest and cheapest route first. Any auto parts store can read the code for you free.

I think you have a parasitic battery drain. Do an internet search on how to find it as there are several good guides available.
