2000 ford explorer xls 4x4 6cyl sohc won't turn over in park, but will crank in neutral. It don't do it all the time. Is there a simple fix?

Try your neutral safety switch

That is what it sounds like too me. Sometimes the switch will come loose, you might want to check that before buy a new one.
