What type of oil should be used for 2006 Hyundia Sonata
well the best is 5w-40 somthing like mobil rally formula or eql...
It will tell you in the owners manual.
I believe the recommended oil is 5W-30
hundai reccomends 5w-20 but there are several options depending on the heat range in the area you live in. the owners manual will tell you what the acceptable ranges are
10w30w i would suggest Quaker State,or Valvoline.
10w30 should be fine unless your car has excessive mileage, strts to use oil between oil changes, etc. go to higher viscosity oil or additives.
5w-30 is what i use in mine, and what ever is on sale if your doing it yourself because now a days their basically the same (name brand wise)
use what mfg and whats on oil cap that's why it said 5/20
Living in Canada I use the recommended 5/20. When it drops below 0C I will switch over to 5W30.
owners manual to old to be considered, stupid answer
