what could be causing this

I have a 91 prelude 2.0 si and the battery light came on and i replaced the alternator it didnt want to start at first
but when it did start it fan fine i let it run for a while and the battery light shut off the next day the car died and
wouldnt start again when i got it home i fiddled around with the coil wire leading to the distributor and it started
but the light was back on

ur battery has water in it & that could be low or it may jst need replaced. how are ur battery cables? alot of times they can become corroded & interfere w/ working correctly. U can clean off the corrosion w/ some coke jst slowly pour it on the corroded bits. It'll eat through the corrosion, I knw it's sounds strange but it works. try that & we'll go from there =)

Checked corrosion it was clean then replaced battery checked the grounds replaced spark plugs the car started and ran but the charge light was still on and when i shut it off it didnt want to start again but when i messed with the wires to the battery and alternator it started again then i let it run and shut it off again and it wouldnt start

if you keep wiggling the wires, it sounds like a loose connection. get a voltmeter and check the charge of the battery when the car is off and with it running. then check all wiring and connections
