Question type: Maintenance & Repair

During HOT Las Vegas weather, when over 100, my car will hesitate and miss, sometimes dying after a couple miles. Could it be fuel filter or pump?

change your fuel filter, and get a can of sea fome injector cleaner and pour iy into a full tank of gas.on fuel injected engines their is no vapor lock,if your fuel pump was bad it would not srart.

Catalytic converter. Ive had the same issue for the last 2 years. During the winter or at night i dont have a problem. Soon as outside temp is above 95 or so AND the sun is out problem starts. I didnt want to cut out my catalytic converter so i cut a hole in it, took a spade bit to the inside and hollowed a nice path between the intake & outtake. Lo and behold hasnt had that problen yet.

I have read many threads on this issues and one the few answers Ive read the solved the problem was replacing the Crankshaft position sensor

Also replacing the fuel pump which was basically overheating for lack of a better explanation and was not supplying enough fuel pressure as a result and if this happens contrary to an above post (Yes) it can vapor lock. If you are not pushing enough pressure and your fuel is at a boiling point in the lines then this will caause vapor lock or a vapor lock effect
