I have a 93 honda accord ex that my mechanic
says needs a cylinder head replacement. Should i
just replace my cylinder head or get a new engine.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
replace or rebuild the head...why mess with a different engine???!!!
Depends on how many miles on the vehicle and its overall condition. Many times a cylinder head is just a temporary enhancement (band aid} for a worn engine. The entire engine can be purchased having lower miles and complete for slightly more than just cost of a cylinder head! if you don't need it yesterday...next the if's 1.If you know how to shop for it. 2.If you like the car and intend on driving it many more years.3.If you are willing to learn some basic information on '93 Accord engine... 1993 HONDA ACCORD Engine #a1p374780 (2.2L, 4 cyl, VIN "7" or "9" 6th $699.99 Free shipping, no tax Just another possible option search online lots of engine dealers. Try searching JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) engines also or just have the head changed.
