can i put a 1997 c1500 2wd into a 1989 GMC sierra
You can but you might have issues with sensors, wiring and possible issues with the ECM...
Indeed. Just about what I was going to post but you beat me joemom. Possible, yes, but the '97 probably has a 5.7L and the '89 has way different electronics. If you do, get everything, and I mean everything from donor truck including wiring harnesses. Get the entire donor truck if possible
Whats up Nut, it just not worth the cost to do the upgrade....
Are we talking engine swaps or something else?
You know I made that assumption.. engine. And we all know what happens with assume... maybe he is asking transmission.... or .... who knows? Good point.
A body swap came to mind.
Hi gentlemen... and Corey if that is you on the cover of Forbes what are you doing in an '89 GMC?
lol sorry was still under the truck. yes was only swapping the transmission I do own both trucks tho
and i have found alot of differences. the chevy trany was the first one ive done alone. the gmc tranny wont go in reverse and only 1 & 3 (i think) foward
