Do I need a new temperature sensor?

Asked by Mar 23, 2014 at 09:41 AM about the 1995 Honda Accord DX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 95 Honda Accord and while driving my car will just stop running. None of my
gauges will go out, I have a full tank, my check engine light just comes on and after a few
minutes I can start it back up and just go. As the weather warmed up the fan will just kick
on, even if I haven't driven it in several days.

What code did you get when you scanned for code, since the CEL is on? How do you know it is the temp sensor?

my cooling fan turns on even though I haven't driven my car in days. I don't have a scanner, trying to get one but my fan shouldn't run because it reached 60 degrees outside.
