RPM needle not moving

Asked by May 10, 2016 at 08:21 PM about the 1995 Honda Accord EX Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1995 Honda Accord's RMP needle gauge has stopped moving, but there
does not seem to be any problems as of now. Should I get it checked?
Also my Brake light came on for the first time ever, but I just had new Brakes
put on only 6 months ago. I mean everything new, pads, rotors, the works.

Check the brake fluid level in the master cylinder reservoir. Regards

Take it back to where you had the brakes done, it could be a fluid leak that they missed during the brake job. As far as the Tachometer, chances are high that it just gave up or you could have lost the signal to the tachometer in the wiring, it should run just fine without it working unless it is a beginning signs of a short then it could prevent it from running if it shorts out, that will ground the trigger signals to the coil.
