automatic transmission light blinking

Asked by Nov 14, 2015 at 01:33 PM about the 1996 Honda Civic EX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The light on D4 is blinking. Does not slip but has a slight pull to the right. This is an automatic. What is wrong?. Is it safe to drive until it gets fixed?

Hard to say what is wrong, the blink D4 light is like a CEL and you need to pull the codes to know exactly the issue. How is the fluid level and color? The vehicle pulling to the right is an alignment issue, have the car aligned when you have it in the garage to scan for the trans codes. Safe to drive? Yes, but get it checked ASAP or might be looking at a rebuild.
