trying to increase power and speed for racing

i am trying to do some little things to my escort to try and get some more power out of it. i am willing to try just about anything to get it. just help me out a little bit if you can

bike thottle bodies married up to a focus st manifold depending on what engine of coarse, ebay for the throttle bodies and direct to ford for the focus st manifold use the injectors from your enigne and trumpets with a homemade air box using a foam filter

well first things first remove the whole exhaust system to just right behind the tranny, get a cold air intake. swtich to manual steering rack and pinion, remove the ac system and pump especially, this will free up a few hp. it better b standard transmission if automatic change it. get some taller and wider rubber on the rims. for more grip. then machine the heads up, you can get a cummins diesel turbocharger from a 5.9 and make a shit load of power after you get new injectors and do some tuning.
