My 1998 Honda Accord ex check engine light came on and was told it was a sensor buthe how do I know for sure if it a sensor and which one?

You scan the car for the codes using an OBDII scanner. You can purchase one, have your mechanic tell you or have a local auto parts store perform the procedure for free.
