Does 2016 Passat have a keyhole for ignition?
My daughters Passat has a push button start and no keyhole I can find. In
my Audi I always opt to use my key so I don't forget it. Well that's what
happened to her yesterday. She met her husband who jumped in drivers
seat, just as I would, and when they left the car her key was in the console
and he took train to work and she had to borrow a car to get to work herself
because her key was locked in the car. I had her car once and couldn't find
an ignition keyhole.
Not sure on the new VW's, but most cars today, you just need the ignition 'key'/fob on you and there is no physical slot on the dash board. Just a push button start and stop. She will need to keep the key in her purse. Make sure she has another for her husband, they should have gotten 2 when the bought it.
