Honda Civic

Asked by Jun 08, 2016 at 01:56 PM about the 1999 Honda Civic LX

Question type: Car Customization

I have a 1999 Honda Civic and would like
to make it a project and spend no more
than 1,500. I want to fix it up and make it
look really nice. With a new paint job and
get the dents all fixed. It has about 145,000
miles on it. Car is in good shape. My
question is, do you think it'll be a good
idea to do this? Or just a big waste of
money?

Good idea? Nope. All of more of your budget will be in paint and body work. Leaves you with nothing to do maintenance on the car. Get some quotes for the body work from a few local body shops and you will see what I'm talking about.

Most reputable Paint /Body shops wouldnt do a complete repaint for under $2000 or more. Paint and Materials are EXPENSIVE .. not to mention labor time to fix all your dents and prep your vehicle for paint. Its a LOT of work.
