First thing to determine is if there's an engine problem contributing to or causing the failures. Misfiring, oil burning, internal coolant leaks, and engine overheating will all cause premature catalytic converter failure. As will improper installation. A new catalytic converter must be warmed up first before the vehicle is driven for the first time after the new catalytic converter is installed. Eastern Converter's website has a video explaining this and other useful information. Then finally check the emissions decal under the hood. If you have California Emissions you'll need a catalytic converter that is C.A.R.B. (California Air Resources Board) compliant. The decal will say either "Confirms to California Emissions Standards" or "C.A.R.B. compliant". HTH. -Jim
