Why isn't my heater blowing hot air out of the vents and prior to before it was but it wasn't very hot it was only lukewarm

Could be air trapped in the engine water passages, or bad hoses or bad heater core or bad thermostat, or just one of those plugged up, or a bad vacuum line or cable to the air blend doors.
