My 1999 HOnda Accord has a manual 5 Spd trans. When I push on the gas pedal, the wheel jerks slightly to the left. The mechanic thinks it is being caused by the transmission gears. is this possible?

I would be more inclined to think it is being caused by one of the axles or cv joints.
