SBC Valve cover breather replacement?

Asked by Sep 05, 2016 at 01:55 PM about the 1981 Chevrolet Malibu Classic Wagon

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was wondering how often the valve cover
breather and/or filler tube breather should
be replaced. How long should I keep one
on before swapping it out for a new one?
thanks!

Change them with every tune up, or if your in dusty conditions more often. As the engine wears, blowby will increase so you may have to change it more often as time goes on.
