A/C question regarding blower control
I have an 1983 Chevy Impala 60,000 miles on it the A/C
works fine . All of a sudden the high speed quit working it
works on low and medium just don't work on high now ,
what should I start with the blower motor resistor or the
blower control switch
Switch. If the resistor pack quit, you would not have the high speed.
You have two fuses for the blower motor. One is for high speed only. It's usually a 30 AMP. It may be in the fuse box or in-line at the alternator. The second fuse, definitely in the fuse box, is for the other three blower speeds. Also, on high speed the resistor block is bypassed on these older GMs. HTH. - Jim
