I have a 2001 Ford Taurus. Just had the car repaired. The battery was disconnected.
Tried to get the car smog for the past 2 weekends. Evap system and catalytic
converter did not have a reading on the smog machine. Drove car around in a week.
Had smog machine connected again. Cat. convertor had a reading but not the evap
system. What do I dave to do to make it work properly. Forgot to mention had the
cataytic convertor bank 2 repaired
I believe you can "clear all codes" with your handheld OBD-II scanner....perhaps will work just fine with a fresh battery 5 years old tops with these new tin/antimony alloy batteries and clean the end of the black 1/0 cable that attaches to the frame/fender wirebrush this spot with a coarse wirebrush and the lug to...to insure a Solid 12.5 volts available to all systems there that NEED it~
fuel cap must seal and be tight, shut down when fueling, drive cycle may be 60 miles or more, this is absurd ,
