Why can't anyone put the true miles on their cars odometer? A car thats 10 years old probably hasbalot of miles on it but they put down 0. Am I missing something?
Good question. I went searching for what you are talking about and there are 46 2001 Civic's out of 411 listings Nationwide-- with either 0 or N/A in mileage. I suppose they just didn't enter it in the add, maybe so many miles they don't want to scare you away, they want you to contact them
I can't seem to find a patten either..like one Dealer or something doing that, but they are coast-to coast...and I saw one with 169 miles, which is either a typo, a fluke, been mothballed or a flat lie
Dealer or Private It is against the Law to not disclose or tamper w/odometer readings therefore, understating true mileage is cause to legally rescind a deal. My car a 2002 Civic LX is 80K which I bought new how can I prove it is? I have every (Dealer) service invoice performed on the vehicle plus we can go to Dealership and I can give you a print out going back to 1st visit! A take away from the aeronautic industry: A plane w/out its service book regardless how shiny and fast looking is a red herring and an unsellable aircraft in the world of plane sales! Now why do people buy cars w/out knowing the service the vehicle had or not? is beyond me! So be smart, no concise service records? Walk away and look elsewhere! This is why the Car Fax industry HAD to emerge in the world of car sales because so many buyers have gotten screwed by unscrupulous sellers and used fly by night used car dealers!!
