My 2001 Ford Taurus won't start. It turns over, huffs and puffs, but won't start. It's almost like I'm out gas but I'm not even close, I have over a quarter tank. I'm stuck and I need to get it going

First thing to check is,the fuel rail to make sure you are getting gas,the way it sound,s ,fuel pump may be going bad.
