The usual cause is too much moisture in the brake fluid, when the fluid heats the moisture turns to steam and forces the pistons in the calipers and wheel cylinders to close thus applying the brakes, once it cools enough the brake release and you start all over again. Is this what you are experiencing? Or does the ABS light turn on and the car just starts braking until it comes to a complete stop then the light goes out and you can start driving again.

It might be a 02Sencer trying to burnout that's what happened to my car.
