2002 Honda Passport only engages in drive with winter button pushed in with fluid full

replaced accumulator plug and topped off fluid.  Passport will only go forward with selector
in D with winter button pushed in.  Have no lower gears working accept reverse.

It is possible that the ECM and the TCM have lost communication with each other or the TCM is not turning on or off the correct solenoids,not an easy system to perform a diagnosis on without the proper equipment.
